JunTos Mission

Every year, our nation loses approximately 910,000 young lives to heart disease and 560,000 lives to cancer. Established in 2004, The JunTos Foundation was inspired by two lives lost to these diseases: Juan Carlos "Juanchi" de la Rua and Ramiro "Toti" Mendez; two inspirational young men whose lives were unfairly cut short by cancer and cardiomyopathy.

While Juanchi and Toti may have suffered from very separate illnesses, together (JunTos), we honor their memory through these efforts.

The JunTos mission is to help to prevent the unnecessary loss of precious lives by working with community research and treatment programs to raise awareness and promote early detection for cancer and heart disease and to support the families that are currently in a battle with these diseases.

As a non-profit organization with a mission rooted in direct experience with these two diseases, the JunTos Foundation invites you to join us in our counteroffensive efforts.
